DonutSMP Iron Golem Farm 2026 — Best AFK Money Method

Iron is one of the most consistently profitable farms on DonutSMP. A working Iron Golem farm produces 8-12 stacks per hour AFK, sells for steady coin, and runs forever once built.

How Iron Golem farms work

Iron Golems spawn when 4+ villagers in a village panic. To trigger panic, you expose them to a Zombie. The villagers gossip → village threshold met → Iron Golems spawn → killed in a controlled chamber → iron drops to a hopper.

The 4 parts you need

1. Villager platform — minimum 4 villagers in a 16-block radius
2. Zombie pod — a single villager-targeted zombie above the platform (separated by glass so they see each other but don't fight)
3. Spawn platform — a flat 16×16 area exactly 24+ blocks below villagers (forces golems to spawn here)
4. Killing chamber — lava blade or honey block + magma combo, with hoppers below

Step-by-step build

1. Pick a flat area 80+ blocks above bedrock (away from caves, mob caps matter)
2. Build a 16×16 spawn platform out of any solid block
3. Build the villager pod 28-32 blocks directly above the center of the spawn platform
4. Trap 4 villagers in the pod (water-stream them or boat them in)
5. Put one zombie in a glass-walled cell next to the villagers, water-pushed against the glass so it stares at them constantly
6. Cover the spawn platform top with a honey-block surround so golems slide to the center
7. Put magma blocks in the center kill spot, hoppers below feeding a chest
