DonutSMP Starter Pack — First 10 Things to Do (New Players)

Your first hour on DonutSMP determines your next 30 days. Here's the exact 10-step starter sequence that gets you from spawn to "self-sustaining" in your first session.

1. /vote — get free coins immediately

Type /vote in chat. Visit all 5 vote sites linked. ~3 minutes total. Reward: ~100k coins + 5 vote tokens.

This single action gets you more coins than 3 hours of manual mining.

2. Claim your daily kit

Default players get a daily starter kit via /kit daily. Includes basic tools + a few diamonds. Do this every day — compounding starter income.

3. /sethome at a safe spot

After getting away from spawn, find an unclaimed area (use /claim info to check). Type /sethome base. Default = 1 home, but enough to start.

4. Build a tiny 4×4 base

Don't overbuild day 1. A 4×4 shelter with a bed = enough. Mining and farming come first. You'll move to a real base by day 5-7.

5. Get a Mending book ASAP

Either:

• Trade with cartographers / librarians (slow but free)

6. Find a zombie OR skeleton spawner

Caves between Y=-5 and Y=30 have dungeon rooms with spawners. Build a kill chamber on the spot. Even a basic one gives you 200k coins/hr passive + XP.

7. Get to the Nether

Mine 10 obsidian (or buy a portal block on /order for ~50 coins). Build a Nether portal. The Nether is where money lives:

• Blaze rods for Eyes of Ender
• Quartz for redstone + decorations
• Ancient Debris for Netherite

8. Start collecting Elytra prereqs

To get an Elytra, you must:

1. Kill the Ender Dragon (group activity, find 2-4 players in Discord)
2. Travel to End City (1000+ blocks outside the main End island)
3. Loot Elytra from End Ship
