DonutSMP Allowed Mods & Clients 2026 — Stay Unbanned

Using the wrong mod is the fastest way to lose a 30-day-built account on DonutSMP. Here's what's actually allowed in 2026.

Allowed clients

Lunar Client (✓ allowed)

• Optifine features built-in
• Mod menu with FPS/cosmetic/utility mods
• Cosmetic-only mods + PvP utilities all OK

Badlion Client (✓ allowed)

• Similar to Lunar, slightly different mod menu
• Subscription tier has more mods (all still allowed)

Vanilla Minecraft (✓ allowed)

• No client = no problem

Forge (✓ with caveats)

• Allowed as a loader
• BUT individual mods may be banned (see below)

Fabric (✓ with caveats)

• Same as Forge — loader allowed, mods checked individually

These are technically allowed but get scrutinized:

1. Behavior detection — auto-clicker patterns, pixel-perfect aim
2. Packet analysis — server inspects movement/combat packets for impossible actions
3. Player reports — community reports lead to investigation
4. Active anti-cheat (Watchdog-style) — automated flagging

What to do if accused of cheating

1. Don't argue in chat — open a ticket on Discord
2. Provide logs if asked
3. If actively using a banned mod, you'll be perma-banned — appeals rarely work
4. If false positive, replay mod footage / video proof helps

Best low-effort safe setup

1. Install Lunar Client
2. Enable Optifine zoom, FPS boost, cosmetic mods
3. Add a free shader pack (Complementary LITE recommended)
4. Don't touch the "advanced" tabs — defaults are safe

This setup gets you 90% of what cheaters use, completely legally.

Common mistakes
